HUNTING EQUIPMENT:

Majestic Pursuit offers Rifle Hunting, Bow Hunting and Crossbow Hunting.

RIFLE HUNTING:

You have the option to rent a rifle at camp or bring your own.

To bring your own Rifle in to South Africa you will be required to apply for a Permit four weeks prior to your arrival. Please advise us should you be planning to bring your own rifle with for your hunt and we will gladly assist you in the application for this permit.

A 375 caliber gun is the minimum legal requirement for dangerous/big game.

A 270 caliber gun is the minimum legal requirement for plains game.

Renting a Rifle at camp will be charged daily and per the round of ammunition used.

BOW HUNTING: 

A permit is not required to bring your bow with to South Africa for your hunt. 
Please contact us directly in order to assist you with choosing the right setup and broadheads required for your hunt.
A normal Elk or deer setup would work for plains game and for dangerous game a minimum of 700gr setup is optimal.

CROSSBOW HUNTING:

A permit is also not required to bring your crossbow to South Africa for your hunt.
A Crossbow can be rented at camp. Renting a crossbow at camp will be charged daily with separate charges on arrows and broadheads.

At Majestic Pursuit African Safaris, we are known for the personalised services we offer and when it comes to guiding, it is no different. Being out in the wild in unknown territory, it is important to have a guide with you who is professionally trained and carries the necessary knowledge of the field, the animals and their habits, conservation and the safety of all parties involved in the hunting experience. 

Our guides and trackers/skinners are highly experienced and will ensure that you return home safely with an unforgettable experience and top-class trophies.

TROPHY PROCESSING AND SHIPPING:

Majestic Pursuit African Safaris offers it’s client’s the option to have their trophies mounted in South Africa, or dipped and shipped to your preferred Local Taxidermist. Please follow the links below to learn more about our preferred Local services.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MEAT?

As per law clients are not able to export any raw, unprocessed meat.

The team at Majestic Pursuit African Safaris however still wishes for their clients to enjoy the exceptional meat they have harvested and therefore includes this in meals prepared for their stay at camp.

Of the remaining meat will be given as a donation to local communities with which Majestic Pursuit Safaris has developed a close relationship with.

GAME/HUNTING CONCESSIONS:

Our base camp is situated in the Thabazimbi area, in the Waterberg Region of the Limpopo Province, the most game dense areas in Southern Africa. Majestic Pursuit African Safaris also offers hunts in our beautiful neighbouring country, Zimbabwe, well known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife. Our concessions are positioned in the lake Kariba area which offers some of the best big five hunting in Africa. This area is also famous for their abundant large crocodile and hippo species and its vast quantities of plains game and other big five species such as Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Elephant and Lion.
